Everything the $39 Tune-Up Covers
This is the full scope of the visit, for one door. If the technician finds something that needs repair, it goes in the written report with a price, and nothing is done until you say yes.
Manual Release Check
The emergency release handle is tested, so you can still open the door by hand if the power is out.
Door Balance Test
We check that the door stays put when lifted partway, which tells us whether the springs are carrying its weight.
Spring Inspection & Tension Adjustment
Springs are inspected for wear and the tension is adjusted where it needs it.
Cable, Drum & Bracket Inspection
Cables, drums and brackets are checked for fraying, wear and looseness.
Roller, Hinge & Track Inspection and Alignment
Rollers, hinges and tracks are inspected, and the tracks are aligned.
Lubrication of Moving Parts
Every moving part that needs it is lubricated.
Tightening of Hardware
Hardware that has worked loose from years of vibration is tightened.
Photo-Eye (Safety Sensor) Alignment & Test
The safety sensors are aligned and tested.
Auto-Reverse / Contact-Reversal Test
We test that the door reverses when it meets an obstruction.
Opener Force & Travel-Limit Check
The opener's force and travel limits are checked.
Weatherstrip & Panel Condition Check
Weatherstripping and door panels are checked for damage and wear.
A Written Inspection Report
You get a written report with photos of anything worn, with the technician's recommendations. Any prices are quoted in writing before any work, and you decide what, if anything, gets done.
Three Steps, No Obligation
Book Online or Call
Send the form or call (669) 255-4414. We confirm the visit time with you by phone.
A Licensed Technician Inspects
A licensed, background-checked technician goes through the checklist above on your door.
You Get the Written Report
Photos of anything worn, with recommendations. Any repair is quoted first, and you choose.
Six Signs Your Door Needs a Tune-Up
Small problems usually show up as a change in sound, speed or balance before anything breaks.
Noisy or Jerky Movement
Grinding, squealing or a shaky door often points to dry or worn rollers, hinges or bearings.
Slow or Uneven Travel
A door that is slower than it used to be, or rises more on one side, may have a balance or cable problem.
Reverses or Won't Close
Usually the safety sensors or the force settings. The opener thinks something is in the way.
Sensor Light Blinking
A blinking light on the photo eyes often means they are out of line or blocked.
Feels Heavy or Out of Balance
A door that is hard to lift by hand, or won't stay put when lifted partway, may be out of balance.
Last Service Over a Year Ago
A yearly check catches worn parts before they fail. If you can't remember the last one, it's time.
